Last 3 Chuckwagons at Wildlife West
Just 3 more Chuckwagon Barbeque and Western Music concerts left this season at Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood. This Saturday and next (August 13th and 20th), the talented Holy Water and Whiskey will perform. There will not be a Chuckwagon show on Saturday, August 27 because the Santa Fe County Folk Festival will be held this year at Wildlife West. Closing the season on Labor Day weekend, September 3rd, will be the popular Watermelon Mountain Jug Band. All performances are held in the all-weather amphitheater.
Each show opens at 6 p.m. with an incredible free-flight Peregrine Falcon demonstration presented by world-renowned falconer Tom Smylie. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience these magnificent birds close up and learn how the fastest raptor on earth survives in the wild.
Come early to walk around the wildlife zoo and see the newest arrivals – two 10-month old cougars and three 5-month old coyotes also known as prairie wolves. The Chuckwagon shows help to support the nonprofit native wildlife zoo, which is managed through volunteer support. Plus, kids will love the new Children’s Imagination Trail.
Dinner shows are $25/adults, $23/seniors, $12/child 5-11, and kids 4 and younger are free. Reservations are required by 2 p.m. on the day of the show. Call Wildlife West for reservations at 505-281-7655 or for more information www.wildlifewest.org.
