EMIFPA Fire Info - June 4, 2016: Pino Fire - Saturday update

06/04/2016 12:09 PM | Nancy Carpenter

EM Residents,

Matt Rau, FMO for the Sandia Ranger District, has informed us that the Pino Fire status has not changed since last evening's update. Since relatively nothing has changed in the last 24 hours, and unless something significant occurs on this fire, this will be the last update for the Pino Fire.

A strong thunderstorm cell moved through the EM region this evening around 4 - 5 pm, south of I-40.  Please maintain your situational awareness. The Pino Fire was started by lightning from a similar cell on June 1st.

The USFS is closely monitoring the Pino Fire, so please do not call 911 to report this fire again. But, if you see or smell any smoke anywhere else call 911 immediately. EMIFPA wants you to "Report it, don't ignore it!!"
